Rules for a Buffet

  1. Allow guests to serve themselves from both sides. (The servers can always butt in to replenish.)
  2. Put plates and bowls BEFORE the food.
  3. Put utensils and napkins AFTER the food.
  4. Have bowls — that are distinctly not suitable for personal use — in front of each item for serving utensils.
