People So Big You Can See Them from Outer Space
I recently started wondering how many people are so big you could almost see them from outer space. It reminded me of a 1995 cartoon, Herb Block of the Washington Post, that I saved in my paper scrapbook collection.
So it brings up the question, what other names are that big? The main debatable criterion that occurs to me is timelessness. For instance we have many global celebrities now, but even if they’re world famous, will they be remembered for generations. I’ll give Elvis as the example; I think he’s bigger than just his era. This isn’t about whether you liked him or he was an idiot or contributed nothing to mankind… it’s just about fame. And I’m not going to waste any space on evil bastards.
