[Correction, May 27, 2024: On page 1 in the green Supplemental/Medigap section, notice where the first box says “… (mainly the deductibles).” Better wording would be “Fills the gap in ONLY the deductible/copays/co-insurance that Medicare leaves you with… and ONLY for Medicare approved procedures. Does not cover any additional procedures.”]

The US Medicare system is a nightmare of almost Orwellian proportions to understand. OK, that’s a gross exaggeration; Orwell had nothing on these guys. Anyway, you REALLY have to study this mess to comprehend it completely. And that’s what I’ve done. I originally squeezed it all into one view and the text got so small that it was illegible when printed so I‘m making it two-sided.

Quick side story: I called one of the Medicare Advantage companies to try out some of my questions on them. I gotta admit, the fella I talked to at AARP/UnitedHealtcare was good. When I asked him “How long was the training class you took for this stuff?”… he answered without a pause, “For me, 17 years.” I’ve put the first 10 years of that into one two-sided page for you. It’s what I do.

The diagrams are formatted with the intention that you zoom to fit a large screen and use Full Screen if you have to, or print them. To print from Medium.com the best method is probably to right-click and open the images in a new browser tab, from which you’ll have full control. I found that I could print it by setting it to 60% scale, minimum margins.
